Lice and Kids

Recently, my four year old son noticed some lice books lying around the house. When he saw the lice picture, one lone louse magnified twenty times, stuck onto a strand of hair, he asked me what that was. I responded that that is a picture of a louse. Because his head is regularly checked for lice he had some faint idea of what I was talking about. The lice picture made it real for him. There's a fun book called "Yikes-Lice" written by Donna Caffey. Read it to your kids to get them acquainted with lice.
